Nicholas Sheffield was formerly a Senior Partner at Hakluyt and Director at N M Rothschild & Sons.

Mr. Sheffield started his career in M&A at N M Rothschild & Sons in 2005, where he was based in London and then Beijing as Director and Chief Representative. While in China, he served as Vice-Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce. He joined Hakluyt & Co. in London in 2016 and subsequently established the firm’s operations in German-speaking Europe, based out of Frankfurt. He later seconded to Hakluyt & Co.’s Tokyo office.

Mr. Sheffield also serves on the Advisory Board of SOAS University’s China Institute and as Head of Japan Affairs at the Center for Asia-Pacific Resilience and Innovation (CAPRI).
