Former Partner at The Carlyle Group / Former Japan Representative at Silver Lake.

In 2000, Mr. Marumo joined The Carlyle Group from the Industrial Bank of Japan as a founding member of their Japan team. Promoted to Partner in 2008. From 2010, he joined Lazard as the Managing Director of the Technology sector. In 2013, he became Japan Representative of Silver Lake. In 2018, he joined a US startup Origin Wireless as Director and CSO. 

In 2022, Mr. Marumo acquired the Japan subsidiary of Origin Wireless through an MBO, refounded it as ai6 Inc., and serves as the Founder/CEO.
