Mr. Clark is the Chairman of BDA (bda.com), a financial advisory firm he founded in 1994 following four years as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley in London and Hong Kong. From offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Beijing, BDA specializes in advising institutional investors targeting high-growth markets across Asia.

An early stage investor and an expert on technology and innovation including co-chairing a program at Stanford University for four years, Mr. Clark was an early advisor to China's Internet pioneers. His book 'Alibaba - The House That Jack Ma Built' has been published in over 37 languages and named Book of the Year by The Economist and was shortlisted for Business Book of the Year by the Financial Times.

Mr. Clark serves as an Advisor to the Pictet Digital fund and as a global trustee of the Asia Society. He was awarded an OBE for services to UK trade and industry.
In Japan Mr. Clark serves on the Board of Councilors of the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology and is an Adjunct Researcher at the new Institute of Japan in the Global Economy at Waseda University.
